WeLab Bank Appoints Stanley Cheong as Chief Risk Officer

WeLab Bank announced the appointment of Stanley Cheong as the Chief Risk Officer with immediate effect.

Stanley has over 20 years of professional experience in risk management in the banking and financial industry. Prior to joining WeLab Bank, Stanley was the Chief Risk Officer at Cathay United Bank Hong Kong, responsible for credit, market/ liquidity and operational risks in wholesale banking, private banking and treasury credit activities in Hong Kong and other regional markets. Previously, Stanley was the Regional Chief Risk Officer at Maybank HK; he also held risk management and consulting roles in various banks in Hong Kong and Singapore. Stanley holds a master’s degree in financial engineering from the National University of Singapore.
