WeLab Bank Appoints Elaine Huang as Chief Risk Officer

2 July 2025, Hong Kong – WeLab Bank announced the appointment of Elaine Huang as the Chief Risk Officer, effective immediately.

Elaine brings over 20 years of professional experience in risk management across the banking, consulting, and financial industry. Prior to joining WeLab Bank, she served as an Equity Partner at PwC Consulting Hong Kong, where she led risk management consulting services for the banking and financial sectors across Greater China. Previously, Elaine spent a decade at HSBC, holding key roles in risk modelling, credit risk management and compliance for the Asia Pacific region. Elaine holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Shanghai Science and Technology.
