[1] WeLab Bank Play to Win Promotion Terms and Conditions (”Promotion”) runs from 17 October until 7 November 2022 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”).
[2] By participating in this Promotion, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Promotion terms and conditions.
[3] The Promotion is applicable to customers (“you”, “your” or “Eligible Customers”) of Welab Bank Limited (“WeLab Bank”, “we”, “us” or “our”) who meet following conditions:
(i) Own a valid WeLab Bank account (as determined by us at our sole discretion) during Promotion Period and until Result Announcement Date (please refer to Clause 31 for the definition); and
(ii) Successfully complete registration through the promotion page in WeLab Bank app (as shown below, “Promotion Page”) during the Promotion Period.

[4] You will have a chance to obtain the corresponding Ticket Rewards (as defined in clause 5 below) by completing the GoWealth Investment Mission, GoSave 2.0 Time Deposit Mission and/or Lucky Draw Mission as stated in this Terms and Conditions. You can complete all of the three missions mentioned above during the Promotion Period, but you will be rewarded with corresponding Ticket Reward only once under each mission. In all circumstances, you can get a maximum of 3 Ticket Rewards.
[5] Ticket Rewards refer to HKD 680 and HKD 980 tickets of FWD Presents: FEAR AND DREAMS EASON CHAN IN CONCERT (“Concert”), please visit [https://www.easonchan.net/hk/?lang=en] for the event details. The requirements to be fulfilled under each mission, and the price and number of tickets provided as Ticket Rewards upon completion of each mission are stated in below Clause 6 to 30.
GoWealth Investment Mission (“Investment Promotion”)
[6] This Investment Promotion is applicable to Eligible Customers who have fulfilled the below requirements (“Investment Mission Requirements”) within the Promotion Period:
(i) Selected either HKD 680 or HKD 980 ticket as the Ticket Reward for completing the GoWealth Investment Mission (“Selected Investment Reward Category”) and successfully completed the registration process on the Promotion Page; and
(ii) Successfully subscribed for mutual fund(s) via Wealth Management Services in the WeLab Bank App (“Eligible Transaction”) during the Promotion Period, and the Accumulated New Investment Amount (as defined in Clause 9 below) reaches:
- HKD 48,000 (if the Selected Investment Reward Category is HKD 680 ticket); or
- HKD 68,000 (if the Selected Investment Reward Category is HKD 980 ticket).
Available quotas are limited for the Investment Reward and we will distribute the Investment Reward on a first-come-first-served basis, based on the completion time of Investment Mission Requirements of Eligible Customers, i.e. the completion time of clause 6(i) or 6(ii), whichever is later. We reserve the final right on the reward quotas for this Investment Promotion.
[7] The entitlement of the reward under the Investment Promotion (“Investment Reward”) is based on the Selected Investment Reward Category and the Accumulated New Investment Amount (as defined in Clause 9 below) , details as stipulated in the below table:

Note:
(i) Eligible Transaction time will be based on Hong Kong Time (HKT).
(ii) Subscription order cut-off time is 3:00pm HKT of a dealing day. If you place an order at or after the cut-off time or on a non-Business Day/non-dealing day of the fund, your order will be processed on the next Business Day. Therefore, subscription order placed after 3:00pm of 7 November 2022 HKT will not be processed on or before 7 November 2022 and therefore will not be counted as Eligible Transaction.
[8] You are not allowed to change the Selected Investment Reward Category after successful registration.
[9] Accumulated New Investment Amount shall be equal to the accumulated investment amount of all Eligible Transactions covering both the investment amount of one-time investment and monthly investment within the Promotion Period. However, if you redeem any mutual fund position of your Eligible Transaction(s) during the Promotion Period, the redemption amount (after being converted into HKD on the transaction date based on the relevant prevailing foreign exchange rate determined by us and rounded to the nearest cent) shall be deducted from the Accumulated New Investment Amount and such redemption amount will not be counted towards your entitlement to the Investment Reward.
[10] Accumulated New Investment Amount will be rounded to the nearest dollar.
[11] If you choose to participate in the Investment Promotion, you are not entitled to other promotional offers relating to the Wealth Management Services during the Promotion Period, unless otherwise specified.
[12] The date and amount in our record will be final and conclusive, including but not limited to (i) the completion time of Investment Mission Requirements; (ii) date of opening, cancelling or any other variation of Core Account and / or investment account; (iii) Accumulated New Investment Amount; (iv) number of transaction(s); and (v) completion date of each Eligible Transaction.
[13] We cannot guarantee Eligible Customers who completed the Investment Mission Requirement will receive the Investment Reward. If you cannot receive the Investment Reward due to quota of Investment Reward being full, you will receive the equivalent cash reward amount of the Investment Reward (“Investment Mission Cash Reward”). The Investment Mission Cash Reward will be credited into your WeLab Bank Core Account in the following calendar month after the Promotion Period.
Example 1: Assuming that your Selected Investment Reward Category is HKD 680 and you have made Accumulated New Investment Amount of HKD 96,000. Under the condition that the Investment Reward quota is available, you will be entitled to two HKD 680 tickets to the Concert; however, if the Investment Reward quota is full, you will be entitled to HKD 680 x 2 = HKD 1,360 Investment Mission Cash Reward.
[14] Winners of Investment Promotion must maintain a Total Relationship Balance (“TRB”) equal to or larger than the Accumulated New Investment Amount within 6 calendar months from the end of the Promotion Period. Otherwise, we reserve the right to refuse to release the Investment Reward / Investment Mission Cash Reward / Alternative Reward, or debit the equivalent amount of the face value of the distributed Investment Reward / Investment Mission Cash Reward / Alternative Reward / directly from your Account (including but not limited to the Core Account) without prior notice.
TRB is calculated on the last calendar day of every calendar month and it includes:
- Hong Kong dollar, US dollar and other foreign currency deposits with the Bank
- Market value of your investment fund holding with the Bank
- Deposit amounts of GoSave 1.0 Time Deposit and GoSave 2.0 Time Deposit
GoSave 2.0 Time Deposit Mission (“Time Deposit Promotion”)
[15] This Time Deposit Promotion is applicable to Eligible Customers who successfully set up a designated time deposit for this Promotion via WeLab Bank app within the Promotion Period (as illustrated in below image (“Eligible Time Deposit”)).

[16] You will receive the reward (“Time Deposit Reward”) according to the Eligible Time Deposit placed. You can only set up either one of the below Eligible Time Deposits and will be entitled to the corresponding Time Deposit Reward once only during the Promotion Period. Details are stipulated in below table:

The transaction time for setting up Eligible Time Deposit will be based on Hong Kong Time (HKT).
[17] No annual interest rate will be offered by the Eligible Time Deposit, which means no interest will be given.
[18] If you withdraw the Eligible Time Deposit prior to its maturity date, the Bank will charge a handling fee of 3% based on the principal amount and it will be deducted from the principal amount. You will not be able to set up another Eligible Time Deposit.
[19] The applicable tenor of each Eligible Time Deposit is 9 calendar months. We will also notify you by email after the Eligible Time Deposit has been set.
[20] You are not allowed to switch Eligible Time Deposit after setting up.
[21] The date and amount in our record will be final and conclusive, and we reserve the final right to determine whether the time deposit you set up is eligible.
[22] Available quotas are limited for the Time Deposit Reward and we will distribute the rewards on a first-come-first-served basis, based on the set up time of Eligible Time Deposit of Eligible Customers. We reserve the final right on the reward quotas for this Time Deposit Promotion.
Lucky Draw Mission (“Lucky Draw Offer”)
[23] This Lucky Draw Offer is applicable to Eligible Customers who successfully complete any lucky draw tasks (“Eligible Lucky Draw Tasks”) described in Clause 24 during the Promotion Period.
[24] You can get lucky draw entry (“Lucky Draw Entry”) upon completion of one or more Eligible Lucky Draw Task(s). All task completion time will be based on Hong Kong Time (HKT). For details, please refer to below table:

Note:
The new fund refers to the net growth of the Core Account balance as of 7 November 2022 as compared with that as of 16 October 2022 after deducting any amount withdrawn from the Core Account during the Promotion Period. The new fund shall exclude funds from Time Deposit maturity, early partial or full withdrawal of Time Deposit, any deposit interest amount and cash rebate amount that is given by the Bank, and redemption amount of mutual fund investment.
Example:

[25] If you have completed Task 1, 2 or 3 before the Promotion Period, you will be entitled to corresponding Lucky Draw Entry if you maintain the status quo throughout the Promotion Period. However, if you cancel the setting of these tasks during the Promotion Period, you will not be eligible for any Lucky Draw Entry under those tasks.
[26] Eligible Spending is defined as transactions conducted using your WeLab Debit Card (including (i) your virtual and physical WeLab Debit Card and (ii) your WeLab Debit Card which have been added in your mobile wallet within the Promotion Period in any currency. We also depend on the merchant category code/transaction type as defined between the merchants and MasterCard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited for Eligible Spending.
[27] Our decision as to what constitutes an ineligible or Eligible Spending (as the case may be) shall be final and conclusive. Ineligible spending, shall include but are not limited to the below: (a) payment of banking fees and charges (including but not limited to annual fee, overdrawn fee, card replacement fee, ATM cash withdrawal fee, if applicable); (b) quasi-cash transactions including: (i) betting and gambling transactions; (ii) instalment payments; (iii) balance transfers; (iv) cash, token, vouchers payment and/or foreign exchange transactions at non-financial institutions (including cash coupon purchases, purchase of foreign currency, money orders and travellers’ cheques); and/or (v) any transactions at other financial institutions (including purchase of merchandise and services from banks); (c) bank transfers (by way of Faster Payment System, SWIFT, eDDA, etc.); (d) bill payments (including but not limited to water bills, electricity bills, insurance premiums, payments to other banks and credit cards, etc.); (e) I payments to the Inland Revenue Department; (f) purchase and/or reload of stored value cards or e-wallets; and/or (g) unposted, cancelled and/or refunded transactions, in whole or in part. We may add to, or remove from, the list of ineligible spending from time to time at our sole discretion.
[28] 30 winners from the Eligible Customer list (“Lucky Draw Winners”) will be drawn randomly in order by computer and each Lucky Draw Winner will receive the reward (“Lucky Draw Reward”) according to below table:

[29] In case of dispute in relation to the means of lucky draw, eligibility of Lucky Draw Winners and any other matters arising from or in relation to the lucky draw, our decision shall be final and conclusive.
[30] WeLab Group staff is not eligible to participate in this Lucky Draw Promotion, and we reserve the sole and absolute right to interpret and determine the definitions of “WeLab Group Staff”.
General Terms and Conditions
[31] Eligible Customers who are entitled to receive the Ticket Rewards (“Winners”) will receive notification via email / SMS / phone call on or before 24 November 2022 (“Result Announcement Date”), according to the Winners’ email address or mobile phone number registered with WeLab Bank account. Participants who are not entitled to receiving the Ticket Reward will not receive any notification.
[32] Ticket Rewards will be mailed to Winners’ Hong Kong mailing address via local post within 14 calendar days prior to the show date as set out on the face of each ticket. Winners are responsible to log into their WeLab Bank app to confirm or update his / her mailing address and ensure such information is correct. The Ticket Rewards shall be deemed to have been delivered immediately after posting. For the avoidance of doubt, the mailing address record of the Winners shall be subject to our system record as of 11:59pm, 7 November 2022.
[33] We shall not be liable for a Winner’s failure or inability to be entitled to or receive the Ticket Reward whether due to a Winner not receiving communications or otherwise (including, but not limited to, incorrect or incomplete mailing address, email address and / or mobile phone number provided by the Winner, delay, damage, loss or accidental theft of whatsoever nature arising from postage) and will not re-issue any notification letter.
[34] In the event of ticket loss (“Ticket Loss”), the Winners are required to report the Ticket Loss to WeLab Bank. The Winners should provide WeLab Bank with the corresponding Police Lost Property Report, HKID Card / passport photocopies of the Winners and details of the Ticket Loss (i.e. the show date, seat number and number of Ticket Loss) as soon as possible. For any tickets which are damaged or defaced that the information on it cannot be properly construed for admission, the Winners are required to report the case to WeLab Bank and provide relevant information as requested as soon as possible. WeLab Bank will assist in handling the reported case subject to verification of relevant information. For any enquiries, please contact WeLab Bank customer service hotline at +852 3898 6988.
[35] No refund, cancellation or amendment of Ticket Rewards will be allowed unless otherwise specified.
[36] The show date(s) and seat(s) of the Ticket Reward will be distributed randomly. Winners are not allowed to selected specific show date(s) and seat(s), and we do not guarantee adjacent seats will be provided. No exchange will be allowed for dates, seats and ticket price category of the concert ticket.
[37] In the event of cancellation of the Concert as announced by the Organiser (as defined in Clause 40 below) (regardless of the date of announcement is within OR after the Promotion Period), Ticket Rewards of affected Winners will be replaced by cash reward with an amount in equivalent to the corresponding face value of his/her ticket of cancelled show (“Alternative Rewards”). The Bank will not mail Ticket Rewards to affected Winners upon the announcement of cancellation by the Organiser. For details, please refer to below table:

The Alternative Rewards will be credited into the WeLab Bank Core Account of affected Winners regarding a cancelled show in the following calendar month after the concert cancellation announcement date by the Organiser or the Promotion Period, whichever is later. For the avoidance of doubt, only affected Winners regarding cancelled shows will be entitled to the Alternative Rewards and the Alternative Rewards shall constitute full and final remedy in respect of the concert cancellation which shall not include any customer service fees or administrative fees charged if any.
[38] You agree and acknowledge that you are not entitled to receive the Ticket Rewards/Alternative Rewards if you close your Core Account at any time before Ticket Rewards are delivered or Alternative Rewards are credited to your Core Account.
[39] We reserve the sole and absolute right to determine your eligibility in receiving the Ticket Rewards / Alternative Rewards at our full discretion, and we are not liable to provide any reason thereof.
[40] The Concert is organised by ESL Limited(“Organiser”). WeLab Bank is not the supplier or service provider of the Concert. We make no representation or guarantee as to the quality and availability of the Concert organised by the Organiser, or the information provided by the Organiser. We shall not be liable for any matters arising from or in connection with the quality and availability of the Concert or the information provided by the Organiser. Any complaints or disputes about the quality and availability of the Concert or any relevant information provided by the Organiser should be directed to the Organiser. Any claims and compensation Winners received from the Organiser will not relieve the payment or any obligation owed by the Winners to the Bank. Winners shall not make any claim to WeLab Bank in relation to any cancellation, rescheduling or amendment of the Concert.
[41] The show date of the Concert shall be determined by the Organiser at its absolute discretion. The Organiser has the final right to vary or extend the show date or cancel any Concert or reduce any seat of the Concert at any time without prior notice. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Organiser shall be final and conclusive.
[42] For any collection and use of Eligible Customers’ personal data through this Promotion, please refer to WeLab Bank’s Personal Information Collection Statement.
[43] WeLab Bank reserves the right to vary, modify and terminate this Promotion (including but not limited to the Promotion Period, the Ticket Rewards and Alternative Rewards) and to amend any of these Promotion terms and conditions at any time without any notice. In case of disputes in relation to this Promotion, WeLab Bank’s decision shall be final and binding.
[44] Any breach of applicable laws or regulations, fraud, abuse and/or non-compliance by you (as determined at our sole discretion) will result in forfeiture of your eligibility to participate in this Promotion and entitle to the Ticket Rewards/Alternative Rewards and/or suspension or termination of all or any of your Account with us. We shall not offer the Ticket Rewards/Alternative Rewards or where the Ticket Rewards/Alternative Rewards have been distributed, we reserve the right to take such necessary legal action to recover any Ticket Rewards/Alternative Rewards without notice.
[45] These Promotion terms and conditions shall be read in connection with our Account Terms (the “Account Terms”), Wealth Management Services Terms and GoSave 2.0 Time Deposit Terms and Conditions. Terms defined in our Account Terms, Wealth Management Services Terms or GoSave 2.0 Time Deposit Terms and Conditions shall have the same meanings when used herein, unless otherwise defined. In the event of inconsistency between these Promotion terms and conditions, the Account Terms, the Wealth Management Services Terms and the GoSave 2.0 Time Deposit Terms and Conditions, these Promotion terms and conditions shall prevail.
[46] A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions has no rights to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of its provisions under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623 of the Laws of Hong Kong).
[47] In the event of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
