How many rewards can I earn for referring friends to this activity?

Each referrer can earn a maximum of 30 rewards for successful referrals, total up to HK$3,000 in cash rewards.

What conditions must referee meet for the referrer to receive rewards?

Referee must successfully open a WeLab Bank core account by 31 Aug, 2025. Referrer can earn up to HKD100 once referee successfully 1) set up a Time Deposit of at least HKD10,000 or its equivalent in foreign currency from the account opening date until the end of the following calendar month*, 2) make a single net transaction of HKD100 or more in qualifying HK dollar spending* + place a subscription order with Wealth Management Services at the minimum amount of HKD 100 or the equivalent in foreign currency*.

What happens if I close my WeLab Bank core account before the rewards are issued?

If you close your core account before the rewards are issued, you will not be eligible to receive any rewards.

*During the promotion period, if a referrer successfully refers a referee to open a WeLab Bank core account using the referrer’s referral code (a code starting with "FP"), and the referee fulfills the following conditions within the specified period, the referrer will receive a cash reward of up to HKD 100 for each successful referral. Each referrer is eligible for only one reward per referee. Each referrer can refer a maximum of 30 referees in this promotion, with a total cap of HKD 3,000 in referral rewards. Both referrer and referee cash rewards are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis until the quota is fully redeemed.

^During the promotion period, if the referee makes a single eligible net spend of at least HKD 100 with a qualified debit card within 30 calendar days from the successful opening of the core account, they will receive HKD 20 cash reward for the first time. Additionally, if the referee successfully submits an investment instruction of at least HKD 100 (or equivalent in foreign currency) for wealth management services within 30 calendar days from the account opening, they will receive another HKD 20 cash reward for the first time. The referee’s cash rewards will be deposited into their HKD core account within 7 working days after completing the required transactions. “Ineligible Transactions” include but not limited to Fees and charges; Online bill payments (including but not limited to water bills, electricity bills, insurance premiums, etc.);  Tax payment; all insurance company’s transactions;  all Alipay HK and WeChat HK Pay transactions;  all phone/fax orders (including bill payments and purchases);  Octopus Automatic Add Value Service transactions (including via e-wallet/other methods to top up Smart Octopus); purchase and/or reload of stored value cards or e-wallets; purchase of products/services at financial/non-financial institutions (including but not limited to, foreign currency, money orders, travellers’ cheques, deposits and money transfers); casino chip purchases,  auto pays,  any transactions under recurring payment instruction; rental payments; transactions made with Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC),unposted/cancelled/refunded transactions, other unauthorized transactions, fraud and abuse transactions, unsettled transactions due to insufficient balances in Core Accounts.
